GREENDALE HISTORICAL SOCIETY AT “RUMMAGE ON THE GREEN”

Proceeds Benefit Hose Tower Adaptive Re-Use Plans

The Greendale Historical Society will participate in the Greendale Lions Club “Rummage on the Green” during Village Days, Saturday, August 11 beginning at 8 a.m. in Gazebo Park. Cash only sales for items ranging from kitchen ware to golf clubs, toys, wicker furniture, vintage home décor and items donated by Shop Around the Corner will be up for sale. All items have been recently donated just for this sale and are not artifacts from the Society’s holdings.

Originally scheduled for August 18th at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, the fundraiser was rescheduled to coincide with Village Days and the Society’s raffle drawing which will be held at the Gazebo at noon on Saturday, August 11.

Proceeds will benefit the society’s fundraising efforts toward renovating the Hose Tower and Grounds Building located behind the library on Parking Street. The iconic Art Deco style building was built in 1939. Construction is scheduled to begin soon with the installation of public restrooms.
