More than 500 people got a free Thanksgiving meal courtesy of the Oak Creek Community Center Wednesday night.

Community Center Rich Duchniak said they distributed tickets to faith-based groups, senior living homes, government-subsidized housing facilities and those without families.

However, anyone was welcome to eat on the eve of Thanksgiving, he said.

I would like to thank the approximately 130 volunteers that helped feed over 500 people last night. We are beyond blessed for all of your help and support. A huge thank you as well to our dedicated and faithful corporate donors that have supported us these last seven years. We look forward to supporting this community for many more years to come.
