Alleged Drunken Driver Hits Vehicle, Injures Driver
A 34-year-old Racine woman was arrested for OWI-causing injury after a crash early Saturday morning at Pennsylvania Avenue and Highway 100.
A 34-year-old Racine woman was arrested after she allegedly drove drunk and ran a stop sign early Saturday, crashing into a vehicle and injuring the driver.
According to the Oak Creek Police Department logbook, the woman was southbound on Pennsylvania Avenue about 3:20 a.m. Saturday when she ran a stop sign and struck a car traveling east on Highway 100.
That car rolled into the ditch and landed on its roof. The driver was trapped and had to be extricated by the Oak Creek Fire Department. Paramedics took the driver to Froedtert Hospital for leg and arm injuries.
Police arrested the 34-year-old for operating while intoxicated-causing injury, according to the logbook.
She has not yet been charged.
