Temple Leaders Consider How To Allocate Donations
The Sikh community is hoping to avoid arguments that flared up between victims families in Colorado and Virginia Tech, according to the Associated Press.
Leaders of the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin are carefully considering how to distribute the hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations that have poured in following the Aug. 5 shootings, the Associated Press reports.
The AP notes that arguments between victims' families have flared up following shootings at Virginia Tech and Colorado. The Sikh community is hoping to avoid a repeat of the same.
Between $500,000 and $600,000 is expected to be collected.

As the AP also noted, one important difference: the Sikh temple shooting victims families all know each other well. Virgina Tech, Colorado victims were strangers who happened to be in the same place.
