Beer Festival Returns to Community Center
The Sept. 28 Septembeerfest will feature more than 100 craft brews, a retro-themed beer tent, a Malte Shoppe and much more.
The Oak Creek Community Center's "big backyard party" is back.
The 17th annual Septembeerfest will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28 both inside and outside the community center, 8580 S. Howell Ave.
The fest will have more than 100 craft brews to sample, as well as a cash bar, food for purchase, entertainment and raffles.
Septembeerfest has a couple of other special features.
The Retro Beer Tent will feature several popular beers from the 1970s and 80s. Pabst, Schlitz, Blatz, Hamm's, Old Style and Old Milwaukee are just some of the beers that will be available.
On the other end of the spectrum, the Malte Shoppe will have some of the newest and most popular malt beverages.
Tickets are on sale now at the community center, online at www.occenter.com or by phone at (414) 768-5840.
Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door. Not into beer, but still want to tag along? You can purchase a designated driver ticket for $10 and still enjoy much of what the fest has to offer.
Septembeerfest is annually one of the center's largest fundraisers and allows the nonprofit organization to conduct its mission of improving lives, strengthening the community and fostering civic engagement.
