Bootz Saloon & Grill will hold an all-day outdoor party on May 19 featuring live music in the parking lot of the bar, 8950 S. 27th St.

According to the business' website and Facebook page, four bands are lined up to play throughout the afternoon and evening. Food tents from Mulligans, The Cellar and Bootz, and games and other activities, will also be set up.

The Oak Creek Common Council on Tuesday gave approval for the event. Stipulations include that security be provided, music end at 10 p.m., no hard liquor served outside and hands stamped once IDs are checked.

Alderman Tom Michalski said officials from the city, police and bar met to agree on the terms and make sure residents living nearby were not impacted.
