CONTEST: Pick Tuesday's Election Winner and Percentage for $50 Gas Card

Predict who will win on Tuesday and also the percentage of votes this person will receive to be eligible to win a $50 or $25 gas card.

Barrett or Walker. Walker or Barrett.

While not everyone will agree on the best choice, most can agree that free gas is good. With that in mind, Patch is conducting a Guess the Percentage contest for Tuesday’s gubernatorial recall election.

To participate, enter in the Comments section of this article the name of the person you think will win Tuesday’s election for governor, along with the percentage of votes that person will receive to the nearest tenth (ex: Scott Walker, 53.4 percent).

The person closest to the correct answer wins a $50 gas card; the runner-up wins a $25 gift card. If there is a tie, a random drawing will choose the winner.

Here are other important details of the contest:

  • Open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia who are 18 and older.
  • To enter, in the Comments section of this article, guess the winner of Tuesday’s gubernatorial recall election and the percentage of votes the winner will receive, to the nearest tenth.
  • All entries must be received by 8 a.m. CST Tuesday, June 5.
  • You may enter one time.
  • One winner will be selected. If more than one person makes the correct guess, the winner will be selected in a random drawing from those entries.
  • One (1) Grand Prize Winner receives a $50 gas card. One (1) First Place Winner receives a $25 gas card.
  • Complete rules are attached to this article.

Thats just to name a few.

The Koch brothers......12.6 million. You liberals are in such denial it's scary to think that you're even allowed to vote. Hmmm... one of the felons hired by Walker did the exact same thing that Barrett's wife did, and yet I didn't see him arresting her - did you?

Also, your boy Barrett essentially admitted that he had no plan at all at how to address the budget - Barrett code for I'll significantly raise taxes but don't want to tell anyone that because I know it's a losing proposition.

Only in your sick world did Barrett win that debate. A debate draws out ideas and real solutions to problems. Walker was the only at the table offering any ideas or solutions to problems. Meanwhile, all Barrett did was attack, play class warfare, and try to convince us of boogeyman conspiracies. If that's what impresses liberals, then no wonder you guys keep on picking such crap candidates that never get anything positive done!

And after a year and a half of the John Doe investigation, there isn't even a single allegation against Walker. All this is is a witch hunt. You guys have been snowed by all of Barretts lies. @Dave - I just don't trust Walker. Pure and simple. But no matter who wins, somehow, someway we have to come together. I can't stand the political environment in Wisconsin any longer. Either way, who ever wins I pray they are extremely successful. But I see no reason to stay and raise my children in Wisconsin if we remain divided. I hate Walker's approach of conquer and divide, I hate what this has done to families, communities, friendships, businesses... it is not healthy for anyone. And FYI, My taxes actually went up 3.5% not down. Perhaps our local republican authorities failed to use Walker's tools? Regardless... whatever happens on June 5th, if Walker continues his civil war, we will move. As much as I like this state, there are much better places to raise a family. Maybe the republican state of Texas. Walker can achieve what he needs to do without dividing, he just chooses not to and that will have long term detrimental affects on the Wisconsin community.

Comment_arrow

Patriot

10:37 am on Friday, June 1, 2012

@Flynn-Walker is not the divider!!! He was elected by the people of this State. Being a democrocy we should not even be having this conversation!!! Instead the union bosses were un-willing to negotiate and accept the economic downturn that is and was affecting everyone thruout the entire nation not just Wisconsin.
So had the unions been more coperative as a large majority were then there would not have been to BS that took place. The 14 Dems leaving the State bringing State Business to a screaching hault!! Collective bargaining is not a fundamental right period. It is a privealige that was granted to the public sector many years ago. But when the public sectors wages, benefits ect are reliant upon the tax base and the crisis that took place in this country forced many people onto unemployment, to loose their homes, job losses ect the tax base shrinks drastically!! Well please explain to me how its fair since the left seems to be all about fair, to go to the tax payer asking for more just so the public sector worker can continue the lifestyle that they have been leading? As if there was no economic crisis at all. So stop think about what your saying and be logical with your thinking!! Only makes sense to make some drastic changes to balance the crisis out for all. As we all were affected by the economy.

@Patrick Flynn -

Walker is NOT the divider, as Patriot has elaborated. It's funny how when the Democrats push legislation down our throats, like Doyle's midnight budget, Obamacare, etc, it's business as usual and no big deal. But the minute the Republicans push something the Democrats don't like, it's somehow using a divide and conquer strategy and creating a civil war.

REALLY???

If you honestly believe in that kind of double standard HYPOCRISY, then might I suggest Illinois or California, as you'll probably fit in better in those places than in Texas!

Do us all a favor and wake up already!

Barrett looked so sanctimonious last night..and kept torting that he knows what Walker is thinking, really he can read his mind and pointed and dug and folded his arms like an old biddy chewing out a kid. "YOU SHOULD BE ASHAAAAMED!" HE didn't look like a person who sits around the table and calmly discusses things, bringing people together as he claims he is. He looked the divider last night. He was a big turn off to me.
Walker kept to the facts..even when criticizing. Walker talked about his ideas. HE kept saying he wanted to move forward and not keep rehashing and rehashing the same old and now outdated arguments. He looked like the adult.

Doesn't bother me at all, Dave.

James, for the record I'm predicting a wellspring of disenchantment over the endless vitriol emanating from supporters of the two frontrunners, producing a last minute flash-mob style protest write-in campaign for Gladys Huber. Gladys pulls it out with 42.8% of the vote, collapses while celebrating her victory at the Glen Cafe and is rushed to the hospital where it's determined that she's not healthy enough to serve. Runner up, Hari Trivedi (who benefitted from an alternate flash-mob write-in protest effort) is declared the victor by default.
