Dental Associates has opened its shiny new $9.5 million facility on 27th Street.

The facility, on the Franklin side of the Oak Creek-Franklin border at 6855 S. 27th St., features a glassy rotunda and a spacious lobby flooded with natural light and complemented with a brick fireplace. Children have their own play room adjacent to the lobby and can even play arcade games, which were placed in the clinic to help make younger patients feel comfortable.

"Our goal was to make the interior warm and inviting so patients have a positive feeling the moment they come through our doors," Dental Associates president and owner Thomas Manos said in a news release. "We've also incorporated a number of amenities that put patients first."

Those amenities include iPad check-in and medical-history gathering, private consultation rooms, quiet rooms for patients who need additional privacy and dual in-room monitors so patients can view their x-rays or watch educational oral care videos, according to the news release.

The 23,000-square-foot clinic is staffed with 57 employees and has 29 general operatories, eight surgical operatories, eight orthdontics chairs and eight pediatric dentistry chairs.  

The business had a soft opening on Sept. 20 and a business open house on Tuesday. The new clinic is the company's 10th in Wisconsin.
