End Date Set For Pennsylvania Ave. Construction

According to a report, the street will not open by late October as expected.

Pennsylvania Avenue, which has been closed between College and Rawson avenues, will fully reopen by Nov. 9, according to South Milwaukee Blog.

The blog notes the reopening date was pushed back due to recent weather delays and extra work needed to lay new asphalt. Officials had previously said the street would reopen in mid or late October.

Crews are widening the street to four lanes and also adding sidewalks and improved street lighting. The road has been closed since late June.

Any word on when the last bad stretch (Rawson to Drexel) will be updated?

Yeah, the Rawson to Drexel stretch got pushed to the back burner....I do not expect that to happen anytime soon.
