Food Drive Benefits Oak Creek Salvation Army

The "I Give Local" food drive, sponsored by the South Suburban Young Professionals, is under way at the community center.

 

The "I Give Local" food drive to benefit the local Salvation Army is under way at the Oak Creek Community Center.

The drive, organized by the South Suburban Young Professionals, will be held until Aug. 23. Residents are encouraged to drop off nonperishable food items during the community center's business hours — 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 8 to noon Saturday.

Food will also be collected during the community center concert series Aug. 22.
