Get Out: Lunch with the Easter Bunny, Kids Fest This Weekend

Plenty of activities are ahead this weekend.

It’s Thursday, and you’re looking forward to the weekend but have no plans for how to enjoy it.

Every week, we'll list five activities that you can use to spend your done-work-outta-here time.

Here are this weekend's picks:

  • Where/When: American Legion Post 434/Friday, 6 p.m. – 12 a.m.  
  • Why Go: Come socialize and impress the crowd with your vocal skills.
  • Pricing: Free

Sock Hop for Honor Flight

  • Where/When: American Legion Post 434/Saturday, 7:30-11:30 p.m.
  • Why Go: Join Oeschlaeger-Dallmann for a great party and help them with their Easter Food Drive by bringing a nonperishable food item. The event also features music by New Revue, prizes for best dressed male and female, a 50/50 raffle, door prizes, can raffles and a bake sale.
  • Pricing: $8/advance and $10/door

  • Where/When: State Fair Park Expo Center in West Allis/Saturday – Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Why Go: Plan an afternoon for the whole family to enjoy with sports-zone activities, face painting, science experiments, clowns, climbing walls and entertainment by David Seebach’s World of Magic, Comedy Sportz and Trinity Irish Dance.
  • Pricing: $5/family, $3/adult and $2/children (ages 3-17)

  • Where/When: Oak Creek Community Center/Saturday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Why Go: Drive up and drop off to help benefit the Salvation Army Food Bank and receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win an autographed Green Bay Packers item. 
  • Pricing: Cash or nonperishable food donation

  • Where/When: Oak Creek Community Center/Sunday, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Why Go: Enjoy lunch and musical entertainment while you meet the Easter Bunny.
  • Pricing: $3.25 (children 2 and younger) and $7.50 (adults and children 2+).
