Get Out: Sports Show, Mind Body Spirit Expo This Weekend

Our weekly look at what's ahead this weekend.

It’s Thursday, and you’re looking forward to the weekend but have no plans for how to enjoy it.

Every week, we'll list five activities that you can use to spend your done-work-outta-here time.

Here are this weekend's picks:

  1. Journal Sentinel Sports Show
    • Where/When: Wisconsin Expo Center at State Fair Park/Wednesday-Friday, 12-9 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.- 9 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
    • Why Go: Includes demonstrations, competitions, instructional seminars, as well as outdoor sports vendors and experts.
    • Pricing: $8 for adults, free for children 12 and under.
  2. Milwaukee Mind Body Spirit Expo
    • Where/When: Ramada Plaza Milwaukee Airport/Saturday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
    • Why Go: Includes the latest in new thought presentations, the best advances in alternative health as well as psychics and mediums.
    • Pricing: $10 admission for the weekend.
  3. Tennis Festival 
    • Where/When: Oak Creek High School/Saturday, 12-4 p.m.
    • Why Go: Join the South Suburban Milwaukee Community Tennis Association for Youth Registration Day and learn about the Quickstart tennis format and Midwest Youth Team Tennis program for children. See our .
    • Pricing: Free 
  4. Milwaukee Archaeology Fair 
    • Where/When: Milwaukee Public Museum/Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
    • Why Go: Explore the past through hands-on activities and presentations, talk with archaeologists and historians from Wisconsin universities, museums, historical societies and other institutions.
    • Pricing: Free with museum admission.
  5. Team Trivia
    • Where/When: /Sunday, 7 p.m.
    • Why Go: Test your trivia skills with a team of friends while enjoying drink specials, prizes and food.
    • Pricing: Free
