It was a year ago today that a blizzard paralyzed Oak Creek and southeastern Wisconsin with some 20 inches of snow.
It's interesting looking back at some of the coverage on Patch and remembering that day: the city unleashing a mega-plow, people abandoning the cars all over the city, tired snow plow drivers trying to play catch up, pretty much everything getting cancelled or closed and the total cost of clean-up and subsequent FEMA reimbursement.
Above is a photo of my own car, which I eventually got out thanks to help from a friendly neighbor (and I later tried paying it forward to someone else, with much less success).
Post your own photos above and tell us what you remember most in the comments!

Having to DRIVE to work at 10pm at night(I'm a nurse) and almost turning around 3 times due to the white out....then getting to work and trying to convince a coworker to stay because it was so bad out...she left and got stuck a couple of blocks from her home...we were all so worried about her...she finally made it but she got stuck in a drift for 2 hours and then picked up by the police and dropped off near her home...it was a welcome phone call from her saying she was safe. Then driving home in the later morning (after my peers came in) and how eerily quiet it was on the streets and how amazing it looked with the snow so high.

That is so scary...I felt so bad for the people who had to drive that night.
