Henkel Corporation plans to build a 27,778-square-foot warehouse addition onto its Oak Creek facility at 500 W. Marquette Ave.

The addition will be on the east end of the building and used for receiving and storing materials for its manufacturing process.

Henkel, based in Germany, operates brands and technologies in three business sectors: laundry and home care, cosmetics and toiletries and adhesive technologies. The facility in Oak Creek produces in the adhesive sector.

Henkel has 121 employees working in three shifts in Oak Creek, according to a letter from the company's architect to the city.

The Oak Creek Plan Commission unanimously approved plans Tuesday.
