Knights' Season Ends In Shocker
Kenosha Bradford scores on a 58-yard touchdown with just seven seconds left to stun previously-unbeaten Oak Creek.
The fourth quarter of Friday's second-round playoff game between Oak Creek and Kenosha Bradford can best be described as a roller coaster.
Unfortunately for the Knights, it was a ride that ended in heartbreak.
Bradford's Danny Lira scored on a 58-yard bomb down the sideline with just seven seconds remaining to give the Red Devils a 21-14 victory and hand a shocking defeat to previously-undefeated Oak Creek.
Just seconds earlier, Oak Creek tied the game at 14 on a touchdown pass from Jordan Strong to Chase Leonardi. With 45 seconds left, the Knights had rallied back from a blocked punt returned for a score earlier in the quarter and appeared to be headed to overtime.
That is, until Bradford's last-second heroics.
The loss was especially painful for the Knights given they blew out Bradford 42-10 earlier this year. But it will be the defending state champs moving onto the third round to take on Lake Geneva Badger, which beat Franklin to advance.
