Knights Soccer Vies For Regional Title

Oak Creek faces West Allis Hale at East Middle School, with the winner advancing to sectionals.

 

Oak Creek squares off against West Allis Hale tonight as the Knights try to advance to sectionals of the WIAA boys soccer tournament.

The game begins at 6:30 p.m. at East Middle School, 9330 S. Shepard Ave. The winner will likely face perennial powerhouse Marquette on Oct. 18.

Oak Creek, the No. 4 seed, is in the regional final after beating Greendale 4-0 Tuesday. The Knights are 12-4-2 on the year and having their best season in years.

I'm wondering why such a high profile game isnt being played on the new $1 million dollar turf at the OCHS stadium? I thought that was one of the highlights of the plan.... we all knew soccer would never be played on that turf.
