Man Arrested After Punching Menards Manager
Altercation started after group wasn't allowed to take electric wheelchair outside.
A dispute between a customer and Menards got physical Saturday afternoon when a manger was punched in the face, resulting in the arrest of a 24-year-old Milwaukee man.
According to police reports:
The customer became irate about 3 p.m. when an employee advised that the store's electric handicap chair can't go outside when it's snowing.
The man started yelling profanities. When the manager asked him and his group to leave, the man punched him in the face, causing swelling and bruising to his left cheek.
Employees got a description of the vehicle before it left the store, 6800 S. 27th St. Oak Creek police asked surrounding law enforcement agencies to be on the lookout for the vehicle. About 3:15 p.m., South Milwaukee police found the vehicle in their city and pulled it over.
The man was arrested on a charge of battery and also cited for possession of a switchblade knife. The store manager refused medical treatment.
