Man Arrested at Oak Creek Hotel On Drug Charges
Suspect also checked into another hotel, where he allegedly had more drugs.
A 54-year-old Milwaukee man is facing charges after he was allegedly caught in a heroin transaction at an Oak Creek hotel.
Douglas Edward Gardner was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Thursday with one count of possession with intent to deliver more than 3 grams of a controlled substance. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison and $50,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
On Monday, Oak Creek police officers received information that a person was going to be involved in a transaction scheduled to take place at Days Inn, 1201 W. College Ave. Officers surveyed the hotel and interrupted the deal after spotting the person and Gardner.
Gardner had 5.7 grams of heroin in a plastic bag, which he said the other person had just gave him. Police discovered Garner had also checked into a room at the Red Roof Inn, 6360 S. 13th St. Police searched and found 12.8 grams of marijuana, a burnt spoon and 19 Suboxone pills.
Gardner is currently being held in custody on $2,500 cash bond.
