No crashes were reported on Oak Creek streets last night despite a freezing drizzle that made it slick-going for drivers.

Police called the Oak Creek Street Department about 8:45 p.m. reporting that road conditions were deteriorating. Salt trucks were sent out about 9 p.m.

While no incidents were reported in Oak Creek, drivers were not so lucky on the freeway system.

The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office reported 17 crashes and four disabled vehicles between 6 and 9 p.m. In addition, the airport spur was closed for a short time.
