Oak Creek Lions Club To Host Golf Outing

Event will raise money for various humanitarian pursuits.

The Oak Creek Lions Club will host the annual district golf outing in August.

The organization encourages early registration for those wanting to attend the event, as well as local businesses wishing to advertise.

Where?

The event will be held at the Broadlands Golf Club in North Prairie. Broadlands received a 4 1/2-star rating by Golf Digest in its 2008-09 edition of Places to Play. The club is approximately 50 minutes from Oak Creek.

When?

The event takes place Aug. 4. Registration, as well as putting, chipping and long-drive contests will begin at 9 a.m., with tee-off at 11 a.m..

$85 covers the cost of 18 holes of golf, cart, lunch, buffet dinner and door-prize eligibility. Those who would like to only attend the dinner and end-of-event awards can pay $20.

Why?

All proceeds go toward causes of the Oak Creek Lions Club. For more than 54 years, the club has worked to improve the lives of people in Oak Creek, Wisconsin and beyond. It is committed to providing local youth with recreational opportunities, as well as health care to those who need it.

Additionally, the club is seeking local sponsorship for the event and donations for the night's raffle. Businesses will have their name and brand recognized throughout the event, with higher-level sponsors receiving greater exposure.
