Oak Creek Man Charged After Allegedly Damaging Car With a Rock
Police say 40-year-old was upset with his ex-wife after talking with her on the phone.
A 40-year-old Oak Creek man was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court with one count of criminal damage to property after he allegedly damaged his ex-wife's car with a rock.
Timothy E. Jones could face up to nine months in prison and $10,000 in fines if convicted.
According to the criminal complaint:
On Saturday, the victim's car was parked at her boyfriend's mother's house in the 300 block of W. Uncas Ave. in Milwaukee while his mother watched her children. The woman noticed Jones' car drive past at a high rate of speed three or four times before he stopped and came to the house.
Jones told the woman he wanted to take the children; however, she had never met Jones before and noticed the smelled of alcohol, so they argued until she threatened to call the cops if he didn't leave.
At 3:10 a.m., the woman saw Jones come back to her house and pick up a rock and damage his ex-wife's car.
The woman called police and Jones was arrested. He told officers he came back to damage the car because he called his ex-wife around 2 a.m. and she was drunk and belligerent on the phone, which made him angry.
He's currently being held in Milwaukee County Jail on a $250 signature bond.
