Oak Creek Residents Say Thanks To Police

This week is Police Week and less than a year after the Sikh Temple shooting, a number of community members have showed their support for those that have been wounded or killed in the line of duty.

With this week being Police Week, a number of community members have offered their heartfelt thanks to the men and women in blue.

As part of Police Week, law enforcement honors those who were disabled or died in the line of duty. More than 19,000 names of fallen law enforcement officers are etched into the walls of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial β€” and more are added every year.

But the rest of the members of the Oak Creek Police Department put their lives on the line every day, and we put out a call on Facebook to offer the opportunity for the community to show their support for the men in blue.
