Oak Creek Teen Faces Felony Drug Charge
South Milwaukee police found a log of names and phone numbers in the suspect's vehicle, according to a criminal complaint.
An Oak Creek teenager has been charged with possession with intent to deliver after his arrest in South Milwaukee last month.
Spencer M. Beck, 17, faces up to 3 ½ years in prison and $10,000 in fines if convicted.
According to the criminal complaint:
On June 8, a South Milwaukee police officer was doing surveillance on a high drug traffic area in the 1400 block of Edgewood Avenue when he spotted Beck pull up to a residence with another man. The passenger got out of the car and went to the residence for a short time, then returned to the vehicle.
The two stayed in the vehicle, which the officer deemed consistent with drug use after a purchase. He approached the car and ordered the two men out of the vehicle.
The officer found 11.6 grams of marijuana inside the car along with empty plastic bags and a ledger of names and numbers that appeared to be used in connection with drug sales. Beck said he smokes marijuana and also sells. He said all of the drugs in the car were his.
Beck will make his initial appearance in court July 26.
