Oak Creek To Host Economic Development Forum Thursday

Representatives from South Shore communities will talk about their development efforts and answer questions from the public.

Representatives from Oak Creek and other South Shore communities will talk about their efforts toward economic growth at a forum Thursday at the Oak Creek police station, 301 W. Ryan Road.

In addition to Oak Creek, South Milwaukee, St. Francis, Cudahy, Milwaukee County and MKE Regional Business Park representatives will be on hand to give overviews of their development efforts and answer questions from the public.

Residents can also check out plans that will be displayed at tables for public viewing.

The forum, sponsored by County Supervisor Pat Jursik, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. inside the Oak Creek municipal courtroom. A similar forum was held last year in Cudahy.

"This forum is again a rare opportunity for citizens to be a part of planning for multi-community development in one meeting and to learn about efforts toward economic growth in our South Shore communities," Jursik said in a news release.
