On Valentine's Day, Man Shoots Girlfriend In Butt
A 24-year-old man was arrested for endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon after an incident in the 500 block of E. Town Square Court.
Think your Valentine's Day was bad?
This Oak Creek couple provided another reminder that it could have been worse.
According to an Oak Creek police report, a 24-year-old man called 911 about 5:45 p.m. Feb. 14 saying he just accidentally shot his girlfriend in the butt with a 9-millimeter handgun.
Dispatchers instructed him on how to tend to his girlfriend's wounds as he waited for police and paramedics to arrive, according to the report. A police canine searched the couple's residence, in the 500 block of E. Town Square Court, and determined it was safe for officers to enter.
Paramedics then transported the 21-year-old woman to the hospital, while police took the man to the Oak Creek Police Department for questioning.
Officers arrested him for endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon. He has not been charged, according to online court records.
The extent of the woman's injuries was not known, but police said Friday they were not life threatening.

The cops were responding to an accidental shooting and they wouldn't enter the building until the dog checked it out. 'Sounds like how they responded to the temple shooting last year. While people were dieing in the building, they wouldn't enter until after the Franklin Swat Team checked it out. I thought they were paid to serve & protect.

I am one of the neighbors of this couple and I heard the moaning and shrieking of the girl (and apparently her mom) after being shot. Scared me to death. Sounded like dogs being tortured.
