PHOTOS: 2012 Relay for Life
Relay for Life kicked off at 6 p.m. Friday at Oak Creek High School. An opening ceremony was the beginning of a 12-hour, overnight event.
If the Oak Creek High School football field is filled with tents on a spring evening, it must be Relay for Life.
The cancer-fighting and remembrance event began at 6 p.m. Friday and was scheduled to last until 6 a.m. Saturday. Organizers were expecting their biggest turnout yet with more than 1,000 participants.
The Oak Creek Relay for Life is organized by the high school student council.

It was a well-run event with lots of fun activities for the participants! This was my first year participating, and I'm glad I joined to chaperone and share it with my daughter! Over $46,000 raised!!! Great job Oak Crekk Knights! We're already talking about next year!

Wow! That is a lot of money. Congrats to all involved...I was extremely impressed with how well-run the event was when I stopped down. The students did an incredible job.
