The South Suburban Young Professionals, a newly-formed networking group that brings together the area's 21- to 39-year-olds, held a Mardi Gras party at the Comfort Suites Tuesday night.
The group is an extension of the South Suburban Chamber of Commerce, with a mission to strengthen local young talent by creating a culture of engagement, continuous development and service to the community.
The Mardi Gras party was the first significant event, and more are planned later this year.
