PHOTOS: Taste of Oak Creek
Third annual event benefited the Oak Creek-Franklin Foundation for Education.
Local restaurants, silent auction items, cupcake wars and a student-created soda highlighted the third-annual Taste of Oak Creek Thursday.
The event at the Oak Creek Community Center benefited the Oak Creek-Franklin Foundation for Education, which raised money for high school scholarships.
Oak Creek restaurants such as El Fogon, Bootz Saloon and di Carlo were among the vendors serving food.
And the Oak Creek High School-created cherry-vanilla soda was going fast, said teachers Michael Burden and Jim Buss, who helped lead the students' creation.
The Taste of Oak Creek served as the launch party of "Knightro Fusion," a soda made by chemistry and marketing students.

Did the Oak Creek School District Administration bother to show up? She misses meetings all the time.
