Police Investigate Apartment Burglary

TV, jewelry among items taken from home.

A woman lost nearly $2,900 worth of possessions in a burglary of her apartment Monday.

According to a police report:

The woman left her home, in the 1800 block of W. Timber Ridge Lane, about 6 p.m. When she returned at 10 p.m., she found her apartment and balcony doors wide open. She called police and waited for them to arrive before going inside.

Missing from the residence was a passport, two 24-caret gold bracelets, a plasma television, laptop, cable box and makeup. The estimated loss was $2,850.

Entry was made by kicking in doors that had been locked.

Officers canvassed the area but turned up nothing; the woman told police she didn't know who could have done it.

Police are still investigating.
