Police Investigate Pitbull Attack That Killed Chihuahua

Incident happened Friday morning in the 3900 block of E. Dexter Avenue. No citations were immediately issued as authorities continue their investigation.

Authorities are investigating an incident in which two pitbulls attacked and killed a Chihuahua Friday morning.

According to the Oak Creek Police Department logbook:

A woman in the 3900 block of E. Dexter Avenue called police about 10:20 a.m. Friday saying two pitbulls attacked her Chihuahua. She threw chairs at the pitbulls to get them to leave, and they eventually did, going west on Dexter.

While she rushed her dog to a veternarian, police found the pitbulls unsecured in the 9100 block of S. 5th Ave. They were taken to the police station after officers noted one of them acting aggressive; they were later picked up by the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission.

The chihuahua, which was tied up in its owner's backyard, did not survive its injuries.

A 48-year-old woman, who was watching the pitbulls for her neighbor, told police the dogs were chained up inside a fenced yard in the 9100 block of S. 5th Ave. and broke free, resulting in the attack on the chihuahua a few blocks away.

The pitbulls were staying at the residence temporarily while the resident tried to find them a permanent home.

No citations were immediately issued while police continued their investigation.

I deleted the last post, which I think was supposed to be satire but if so was done pretty poorly.
