The Cellar has always exceeded my expectations.
Mr. Nelson & his staff are extremely friendly & always "go the extra yard".
The fish-fry is always very good & I have, on many occasions, enjoyed their Ribeye and Prime-Rib.

this is about a fish fry poll and not about bashing the other establishments.

On the Cellar- I had no problem adding it to the poll, if people are that into it...the more the merrier, I say.

I agree with you Cathy. most user names on here include a first name only, not just the ones who "liked" the cellar. I didn't even realize that this poll was going on until today otherwise I would have commented last week. good luck to all the restaurants and maybe you should try the cellar fish fry before you knock it.

This is not a fake user name I wouldn't even know how to do that, but a poll is being taken and it ahould include all the restaurants that do a good job. Me and my wife Laurie not only love the cellar fish fry, but all of their other dishes. It is a great family place with a great menu, and the best fish fry I have ever had.

The Cellar has an awesome fish fry as well as Erv's Mug and Georgie Porgies!! If your looking for good food, good people, and friendly environment go to The Cellar. Erv's Mug is good too, but be prepared to wait, or to get it to go and if you do eat there, be prepared to be rushed out. If your on the run and still want a good fish fry, stop at Georgie Porgies!!!!!

The Cellar has an awesome fish fry, its affordable and the service is excellent. Lot of food for ur buck. Not to mention their pizza is awesome as well. You know its not always the most popular, most crowded, most decorated place that has good food. The Cellar is nice and cozy not to mention the building itself has TONS of history. Who knows you might even be lucky to see a spirit from past.

I don't care for the fish fry at the Cellar; the service was mediocre and the fish fry was not very tasty the last time my husband and I visited. Unlike the fish fry served at most of the establishments, St. Stephen's fish fry is only served during the Lenten season by volunteers.

Just had the Fish Fry from Mulligan's on Friday and was disappointed. Even my kids who don't usually care too much said it wasn't very good.

No one has plugged Perkins. Yes, Perkins...I know, it's a chain, but their FF is good and their potato pancakes are awesome.

The Cellar is very good. Try there spircy sausage yumm.

I usually go to the cellar once or twice a week, and i also go on the weekends, i think that the cellar has some amazing food.

The cellar has great fish fry. Both fried and baked. For those of you that are not great fans of fish or just don't want fish they always have a great beef dish on Fridays.

Erv's is good but get ready to wait, also a little older crowd but very nice people. Jim Dandy's has better breakfast than dinner. For a great fish fry in time for a show, or a great steak go to the cellar on Oakwood. I'm a first timer last week and it was great. I love this website good information sent right to your phone.

Cellar is my favorite for fish fry. You can usually get seated right away, the service is good and the staff if friendly and attentive. The fish is flaky, moist, not greasy and has great flavor!

The Fish Fry at Grecos is amazing!! I LOVE their beer batter. The service is always wonderful and everyone is very welcoming. They also have really great drink specials to go along with a great dinner. If you've never been there for it I suggest you give it a try!

Greco's perch is to die for! You get a lot of great food for not a lot of money! There is great service, friendly and personal owners, and awesome specials! $3 long islands, $1 beer $5 martinis! How can you go wrong?!?!
