Wondering why the trees near the water tower on Howell Avenue were cleared out last week?

Site work is under way for NDT Specialists, Inc., which is constructing an 18,000-square-foot building at 7365 S. Howell Ave.

NDT, which performs inspection services on various parts for a wide range of industries and manufacturers, is combining its locations in West Allis and Milwaukee under one roof.

The city Plan Commission and Common Council approved plans last year, lauding the proposal for bringing new business and jobs into Oak Creek.
