Septembeerfest Brings Back Tastes From the Past
The retro beer tent will feature Pabst, Schlitz, Blatz and other popular beers from the 1970s and 80s.
The old beers you have known and loved will be under one tent Friday at the Oak Creek Community Center's Septembeerfest.
The retro beer tent will feature several popular beers from the 1970s and 80s (some of which are still popular today). Pabst, Schlitz, Blatz, Old Milwaukee, Old Style, Hamm's, Walter's premium, Little Kings Cream Ale, Grain Belt, Rhinelander and Lonestar are all expected to make an appearance.
The fest also has more than 100 craft brews and many of the newest and most popular malt beverages. But the retro tent is bound to bring back some memories and was a hit with Septembeerfest attendees last year, Community Center Director Rich Duchniak said.
It also got us wondering — what is your favorite of the old-school beers? Vote in the poll question below!
Septembeerfest will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. both inside and outside the community center, 8580 S. Howell Ave.
Tickets are on sale now at the community center, online at www.occenter.com or by phone at (414) 768-5840.

I know, I can go to the community center's web site to find this piece of critical information that was left out of the announcement, but it would have been nice to include in the announcement what "day/days" this is being held on.

I put Friday in the first sentence, but I see where you're coming from.

Surprising Olympia wasn't on the list. That and Pabst were popular with my friends and I back then.
