Holiday Shopping, Market Place Village Style

Businesses at the corner of Chicago and Puetz roads will be offering specials and gift ideas this Saturday at Market Place Village's annual Holiday Stroll. Santa will be on hand, too.

Having trouble getting into the Christmas spirit in the midst of 60-degree temperatures? Or do you just want to support local small businesses?

Either way, Oak Creek's Market Place Village, at the corner of Puetz and Chicago roads, will host its annual Holiday Stroll from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Residents can avoid the mall crowds and shop local, with many of the village's shops offering gift certificates, gift ideas and specials.

Kids can get their picture taken with Santa from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Family portraits are also offered.

From knitting to music, Market Place hosts an eclectic mix of small businesses. See a list of stores in the Patch directory.

See more information on the Holiday Stroll Facebook page, and check out photos and a story from last year's event.

A little correction, the Holiday Stroll is from 10-4pm Saturday. Shop Local, and no lines to see Santa!!!
