Will Allen Gets the Colbert Report Treatment
The urban agricultural pioneer's organization has a presence in Oak Creek, with greenhouses on Fifth Avenue and involvement with Green Man Wood Services.
Milwaukee's Will Allen, a legend in the field of urban agriculture, paid a visit to Comedy Central's The Colbert Report Tuesday night.
Allen was there to promote his book, The Good Food Revolution. He talked with Colbert about how he got started with urban agriculture, his farms in the Milwaukee area and how urban agriculture will expand.

Patch interviewed Allen last year about his presence in Oak Creek. Allen's organization, Growing Power, opened several rows of greenhouses on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Addison Lane.
The group also does work at Green Man Wood Services, 9000 S. Nicholson Road.

The book is a must read (we have it available at the library, there is a waiting list though). Will is an inspiration, he has done amazing things for the community!
