An Oak Creek police officer was in the 100 block of W. Centennial Drive when he noticed a fire hydrant knocked over and Twinem's car parked nearby. When he asked her if she hit the hydrant, Twinem said she did while making a wide turn.
However, the officer smelled alcohol on Twinem and had her perform field sobriety tests, which she failed. She had a blood alcohol level of 0.24, three times the legal limit to drive in Wisconsin.

Twinem was previously convicted of OWI in 2001 and 2010. She was assigned a $500 signature bond.
While she awaits trial, she was ordered supervision by the Justice 2000 program, a nonprofit group that promotes the safe release and community integration of criminal offenders.
