Oak Creek Woman Allegedly Tries to Steal $2K in Goods From Boston Store
Police say Oak Creek woman took a large amount of clothes, makeup and jewelry to a fitting room and then disappeared for 40 minutes.
An Oak Creek woman is facing charges after she allegedly tried to steal $2,000 worth of merchandise from Boston Store at Southridge Mall.
Francesca Seymour, 49, was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of retail theft. If convicted, she faces up to nine months in prison and $10,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
On Jan. 15, security officers at Boston Store saw Seymour come in and take a large amount of jewelry, makeup and clothes, put them in her shopping cart and then go to a fitting room for 40 minutes. She later emerged, put a few items back and paid for a couple more.
However, she then walked out of the store with about $2,094 in items she didn’t pay for.
Seymour will make an appearance in court Feb. 21.
