Ordinary Heroes Raises $3K for Oak Creek, Aurora Shooting Victims

After our Ordinary Heroes efforts, we have successfully raised a collective total of $3,100 for victims of recent tragedies. We are donating $1,100 to the Oak Creek Sikh Victim Relief Fund and $2,000 to the Aurora Victim Relief Fund.

We would like to extend a gesture of immense gratitude to the incredible businesses, especially Waukesha Freeman Friday Night Live and the Downtown Waukesha Business Association, who have donated money, time, and compassion to our efforts. We would also like to thank all the citizens who donated one dollar or more to the causes to receive an Ordinary Hero sticker.

You have truly changed lives, impacted the world for the better and are real ordinary heroes! We are, however, still searching for a local charitable institution to match our donations. If you are interested in matching, you can e-mail us at ordinaryheroesfund@gmail.com. If you would like to donate to Ordinary Heroes for future causes, you can write checks out to Ordinary Heroes Fund at Waukesha State Bank.

One of our most appreciated supporters, Mayor Jeff Scrima of Waukesha, stated, “Kelsie and Zach have inspired Waukesha to be the light that we want to see in the world by starting small, starting here and starting now.”

Our efforts are proof that when ordinary people come together, wanting to make a difference, extraordinary things can be achieved, and anyone can be a hero.

Congratulations on a job well done Kelsie and Zach. Your inspiration extends beyond the boarders of Waukesha and your conviction makes you, not just your results, extraordinary.
