Growing up on the south side of Milwaukee has left its mark not only on my world view,  but on my accent. Known to say “M’Waukee” instead of “Milwaukee” without shame, my south side roots run deep.  A lifer to this region of the state, I have an undeniable crush on all things local.

As one of the founding members of the new South Suburban Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals (SoSubYP), I’m embarking on a new challenge-Finding Oak Creek’s emerging leaders. This is timely as a recent job re-positioning places me squarely in Oak Creek as I focus on growing our regional student population. One could say that I've decided to take my crush and turn it into a committed relationship by establishing my career here in this region.

In the spirit of sharing, I’ll be bringing my experiences as I navigate Oak Creek’s young professionals scene, get to know local business and community leaders, and unearth best practices for establishing a career in this region-Chronicling my experiences as a young professional in Oak Creek.

Community Outreach Manager for Ottawa University-Wisconsin (www.ottawa.edu) by day and Volunteer Foster Mom for Wisconsin Chihuahua Rescue by night (www.wischirescue.com) and an avid believer in the power of community building and social media- my world is all about making connections!
