The Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District's 9th Annual Festival of Bands will be held on Saturday, January 12th, at 3:30 PM and 6:00 PM in the new gym at Oak Creek High School. These two identical concerts feature all bands in the Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District. This includes students in 5th Grade Band (combined from the district's six elementaries), Middle School Bands (combined from East & West Middle School), and the Oak Creek High School Bands. Bands at each level will perform pieces to demonstrate their proficiency and there will be a finale of all students, grades 5 through 12, playing together. The traditional “Stars and Stripes Forever” by John Philip Sousa will end the performance.
The concert is free but, due to the size of this event, tickets will be required to attend the Festival of Bands. Members of the community may contact a member of the band program, or any of the directors (look below for contact information for band directors in the school district / at a school nearest you). Tickets may also be acquired one hour before each concert.
Please save this date. We hope that you will be able to join us on Saturday, January 12th, 2013 at 3:30 PM or 6:00 PM.
