Gluten free Girl Scout cookies for sale in Milwaukee this Friday and Saturday

MILWAUKEE—Girl Scouts have earned national media attention for piloting a new gluten free Chocolate Chip Shortbread Cookie, and this Friday and Saturday, cookie lovers around Milwaukee can purchase the new cookie from girls at the Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast (GSWISE) Marion Chester Read Center.

Troops will host two cookie booths this weekend with gluten free cookies on hand while supplies last:

· 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, January 31

· 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, February 1

Booths will be set up at the Marion Chester Read Service Center, 131 S. 69th Street, Milwaukee. The center is located just one block off Interstate 94.

GSWISE is one of 20 test markets for the new gluten free cookie. The Girl Scout council received a limited supply of Chocolate Chip Shortbread Cookies that has been distributed to local troops to sell at cookie booths.
