Stormy Weather Causes Power Outages

We Energies' customers lost power and stoplights went dark Tuesday as rain pounded Oak Creek and southeastern Wisconsin.

Power outages were reported throughout Tuesday as a heavy rain passed through the area.

About 90 We Energies customers near Goldman Park, north of College Avenue and west of 20th Street, lost power about 3:15 p.m. A few other customers near Drexel Avenue and 6th Street also lost electricity at that time.

About 5 p.m., a small outage was reported near 15th Ave. and Ryan Road.

Several sets of stoplights were also dark during portions of Tuesday, including at Ryan Road and Howell Avenue and 6th and Drexel.

The rain is expected to continue Wednesday, according to Patch's media partners at WISN. A flood watch is in effect until Friday.
