Hello all,
I wrote this on the Patch Facebook page last week, but wanted to reiterate it in this space, for those who aren't Facebook users.
There's been a lot floated in the community and in the media about the future of Patch, and I just wanted to address that here. Myself and the other Patch editors in the Milwaukee area will be getting laid off on Tuesday, and the future of the sites after that is pretty murky at best. I'm not sure what the company is planning to do, and I won't speculate here.
So that being said, I just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed working in Oak Creek for almost the last three years now. I've gotten to know so, so many people in the community and I feel very fortunate I was able to do that. I've loved telling stories in this community, loved building the Patch site up from scratch, and am tremendously proud of the things we accomplished.
