Oak Creek Lions Fest Kicks Off Friday

The annual Labor Day weekend event returns to the American Legion grounds.

If it's Labor Day weekend, that means it's Lions Fest time on the American Legion grounds, 9327 S. Shepard Ave.

The festival begins Friday and continues through Monday, bringing with it live music, carnival rides, food, a car show and more.

The opening day features a senior day in the afternoon and a fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m.

Saturday is a family-themed day, with children's activities from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Activities include arts and crafts, face painting, balloon art and the Kohl's Wild Theater

A car show will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. A polka mass is also scheduled for Sunday, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Veterans Appreciation Day, in which those with a military ID get a free lunch, is noon to 6 p.m. Monday.

See the flier above for more information, including the schedule of live bands.
