Updated: Power Out For Many In Oak Creek

We Energies says power was lost about 1:30 p.m.

Updated 5:30 p.m.: We Energies says power has now been fully restored.  

About 3,600 We Energies customers - many of whom reside in Oak Creek - lost power this afternoon. 

Power was lost about 1:30 p.m. By 4 p.m., the number of customers still without electricity was down to 1,200.

The company is investigating the cause of the outage and working on restoring power, a We Energies spokeswoman said. 

According to a map on We Energies' website, the outage is affecting customers along a portion of Pennsylvania Avenue, mostly north of Puetz Road.
