Top Five Destinations Within 10 Miles: Free Summer Concerts

With only a month left of summer, you may be reminded that you still haven’t made it to one of Oak Creek’s free Summer Concert Series. Don’t worry, you can still get in a few free summer concerts before we say “farewell” to our warm weather and sunshine.

Though there may only be one concert left for Oak Creek’s free Summer Concert Series, there are a few more nearby.

1. Doo-Wop Daddies
   • Distance: 0 miles
   • Location: Oak Creek Community Center, Oak Creek
   • Remaining dates: Wednesday 4-8:30 p.m.: Aug. 24
   • Features: The Daddies deliver an exciting theatrical show with Doo-Wop style, redefining the music of the 50’s and 60’s. From 4-8:30 p.m., local vendors will provide produce, baked goods, flowers, specialty foods, arts and crafts along with other local services and products
2. Ohmage
   • Distance: 1.9 miles
   • Location: Lions Legend Park Band Shell, between Loomis Road and Legend Drive, Franklin
   • Remaining Dates: Sunday 1:30 p.m.: Aug. 21
   • Features: Bring a chair or blanket to enjoy this 1980’s to today’s music band.
3. Bay View Chill on the Hill
   • Distance: 9.1 miles
   • Location: Humboldt Park Band Shell, 3000 S. Howell Ave., Bay View
   • Remaining Dates: Tuesdays from 6-8:30 p.m.: Aug. 23 and Aug. 30
   • Features: Come enjoy Milwaukee Mandolin Orchestra featuring Robin Pluer on Aug. 23 and Tristan Royalty Squad on Aug. 30.
