WISN: Oak Creek Residents Fight to Keep Trees

Neighbors living near the Oak Leaf Trail have seen trees continuously cut down to protect power lines.

Oak Creek residents living near a section of the Oak Leaf Trail are fighting to keep their neighborhood trees, which are being cut down to protect power lines, according to Patch's media partners at WISN 12 News

Residents say they are losing their sense of nature, while American Transmission said power companies across the country have been more aggressive about tree trimming since the huge power outage in the northeast 10 years ago.

Resident Michael Ochs told the station he and his neighbors have challenged the power company to no avail so far.
