This year's concert series at the kicked off Wednesday on what turned out to be a beautiful evening.

Two classic rock-oriented bands, AARPer's Bizarre and the Beatles tribute band Liverpool '64, took the stage and performed in front of a good crowd outside the community center, 8580 S. Howell Ave.

It was the first of five shows on Wednesday nights this summer. Next up is Southern Tradition on July 11, followed by Pat McCurdy on July 25, In Black N White on Aug. 8 and Mt. Olive on Aug. 22.
