Milwaukee Symphone Orchestra Presents Beethoven's 5th at the Marcus Center Sept 24 and 25

Experience the raw power and bracing energy of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony on Friday, September 23, Saturday, September 24 or on Sunday, September 25 at the Marcus Theater.  Edo de Waart is conducting the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.

The performance includes: Beethoven Symphony No. 1 in C major, Op. 21, Beethoven Grosse Fuge, Op. 133 and Beethoven Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67.

This is an all-Beethoven concert featuring the youthful First Symphony.  In addition, you'lll be treated to a  tour-de-force: the mesmerizing Grosse Fuge, composed for string quartet but performed here by the full string sections of the Milwaukee Symphony.

The concert will be held in Uihlein Hall at the Marcus.  It starts at 8pm on Friday and Saturday, and at 2:30pm on Sunday. Tickets range from $25 to $95.
