South Shore Resumes Film Series For Special-Needs Children

Oak Creek movie theater will host three movies in the early part of 2012.

Marcus Theatres' film series for families with special-needs children will continue this year at .

We Bought a Zoo will be held Jan. 21; Dr. Suess' The Lorax will be shown March 3; and The Pirates! Band of Misfits is scheduled for March 31.

All movies in the film series begin at 10:30 a.m. with regular matinee adult and child pricing.

Marcus' series, "Reel Movies for Real Needs," is designed for families of special-needs children with autism or other challenges who cannot always attend regularly featured movies with their families.

The program creates a welcoming and accessible environment for special needs children by offering age-appropriate films with a lower sound volume and brighter lighting.
